Cleaning tools.
Cleaning Tools:
Gather the right tools into one portable device.
I use a 5 gal bucket with a tool liner.
What are the right tools?
Pine-Sol - Floors
Blue Juice - Pine-Sol and water in a spray bottle - hard surfaces
Bleach and water in a spray bottle - white sinks
Glass Cleaner - glass, mirrors, cuts and scrapes - My Big Fat Greek Wedding - Put some windex on it-
Scrubbing Bubbles - tub, shower, sinks
Pledge - wood
Paper Towels and or Micro cloths (paper towel cost but micro cloths are washable)
Swifer duster
toothbrush (not your current one!)
Scraper
Glass Scraper
Mult-tool screwdriver
Scrub brush
Wisk brush and dust pan
Knife
Vacuum Parts
A few trash bags
Note pad and pen
Vaccum - I like our dyson.
Floor Mop - I use the O-cedar Hardwood Floor 'N More® Microfiber Dust Mop with washable heads.
It has a large cleaning area and micro cloth head. Spray some blue juice and mop.

Start Cleaning:
Take your cleaning supply bucket into the room you are going to clean and place it near the wall.
This becomes your starting point.
Clean from top to bottom and move around the room.
Don’t leave that spot until it is clean. Uses the tools.
If you find something that needs repair or replacement make a note in your notebook.
Try not to back track. (This is sometimes hard – just don’t do it)
If you find a dirt dish take it to the kitchen but come right back to where you were.
Do not do the dishes.
Once you clean your way back to the bucket take it to the next room
and place it where you will start.
Go back to the room you just cleaned and do the floors. (Look around – anything else?)
Go to the next room and repeat.

Cleaning Schedule:
Decide how many days/hours does it take to clean your living space?
Small – two days – say Tuesday and Thursday
Large – Three days say Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Larger – get someone else to clean it!

Now you only need to do the complete bucket cleaning once a month.
Week two, three and four :
– don’t start high just clean from eye level down
- don’t clean the clean area’s
For example you clean the top of the bookcase on week one
now only clean what people can see until week 1 comes around again.

Daily:
Don’t go to bed until the dishes are done.
Swish the toilet each day – don’t use chemicals just the brush
Put things back in their place – what no place – do you need it?
Don’t clean things on Monday that you plan to clean on Tuesday!

Tips:
It is hard to scratch a wet surface. Tough crud spray the class cleaner and use a scraper.
When using Scrubbing Bubbles – spray and walk away – give them time to work.
Don’t just spay and wipe. Spray scrub, scrap then finally wipe clean.
Use a program like Memo-to-me to remind you to replace filters, change the oil,
wash the carpets, clean outdoor dryer vent, run vinegar through the washing machine…
it will send you an email reminder.
