Trip to FIA

4/11/2011

Flint Institute of Arts, Flint Michigan.

The last time I was at the Flint Institute of arts was about 8 years ago and boy was I pleased with the changes. They had completely remodeled the building. You walk into a large information room and we were greeted by two staff members. They explained what there was to see and were to see it even down to the restroom placements. They offered each of us a tourstick they you entered the exhibit number and it told the story about that piece. They offered a photo permit if you wanted to take pictures. Finally they showed you what was free and what you might want to pay to see. The temporary exhibits cost the rest is free.

There was a lot to see and a lot to listen to. The place could not have been any cleaner. It was a very good experience. You can check them out at www.flintarts.org.
